KANKA PEDIATRIC BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT HOSPITAL

KANKA is the largest Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation and Stem Cell Treatment Center in Türkiye. The center has 40 beds BMT capacity. This capacity is amongst the few in number even in Europe and America.

Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation operations have been held at Erciyes University since 2011 and more than 500 pediatric bone marrow transplants have been made up to date.

In the near future, KANKA will be a candidate center for gene therapies and CAR T cell therapies, as well.

JACIE Accreditation of Kanka Pediatric BMT Hospital

The First and Only in Türkiye

JACIE ACCREDITED PEDIATRIC BMT CENTER

KANKA is the first and only center to receive JACIE (Joint Accreditations Committee of ISCT and EBMT) accreditation for pediatric bone marrow transplants in Türkiye.

It has been reported that there are only 27 JACIE accredited Pediatric Transplant Centers around the world.

The hospital maintains bone marrow transplantation operations at JACIE’s global standards.

HOSPITAL DEPARTMENTS

KANKA Children’s Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Hospital has a 10,000 square meter closed area, with 5 floors. There are 4 centers in the hospital, including:

Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Center,
Thalassemia Hemoglobinopathy Center,
Hemophilia Center and
Outpatient Treatment Center.

HOSPITAL FACILITIES

There are 60 service rooms, 40 of which have HEPA filters, and single patient rooms for mother and child under the most modern conditions.
There are 5 Bone Marrow Transplant Intensive Care Rooms and its own operating room on the transplant floor.
Provides polyclinic services with 44 outpatient treatment units.
The outpatient clinic in the hospital is patient-based. Incoming patients are provided with rooms with beds, armchairs and sinks.
Separate centers have been established for thalassemia and hemophilia patients.
The hospital has children’s playgrounds, with a total area of 250 square meters, and a theater stage, music rooms and game equipment to be used in shows for children.

SAHINUR DEDEMAN ADULT BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT HOSPITAL

SAHINUR DEDEMAN is one of the largest Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation and Stem Cell Treatment Center in Türkiye. The center has 37 beds BMT capacity. This capacity is amongst the few in number even in Europe and America.

Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation operations have been held at Erciyes University since 1998 and more than 2,000 bone marrow transplants have been made up to date.

JACIE ACCREDITED ADULT BMT CENTER

SAHINUR DEDEMAN is the first center to receive JACIE (Joint Accreditations Committee of ISCT and EBMT) accreditation for adult bone marrow transplants in Türkiye.

It has been reported that there are only 2 JACIE accredited Adult Transplant Centers in Türkiye.

The hospital maintains bone marrow transplantation operations at JACIE’s global standards.

Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Center,

Outpatient Treatment Center and
Therapeutic Apheresis Center.

There are 37 service rooms all of which have HEPA filters.
The hospital has two labs, i.e. Stem Cell Processing Laboratory and Flow Cytometry Laboratory.
Provides polyclinic services within outpatient treatment units.
